Mouse Trap | Coleco;Atari;CBS Electronics (Exidy) | 1981 | You control a crafty mouse, weaving his way through a tricky maze of doors and corridors, munching on cheese bits as he goes. Hungry cats pursue him every step of the way, making his journey very hazardous! By eating dog bones, the mouse can temporarily turn himself into a dog and chase the cats to score extra points. He can open and close doors to change the maze and confuse his pursuers. Will your mouse make it through the maze ... or be a snack for the cats? | labelimagesubject |
Alien | 20th Century Fox | 1982 | It's [game=#5506]Pac-Man[/game]! What a rip off! No wait, this is a better version, of Pac-Man. [Zerothis] | labelimageminimize |

Ms. Pac-Man | Atari;CCE;Video Game Program (General Computer) | 1982 | Meet the queen of video games - Ms. Pac-Man! She's all dressed up - and hungry as ever! Score points as Ms. Pac-Man gobbles up dots, energy pills, fruit, pretzels, and of course, those grumpy ghosts. For one player.*** [126]*** [125]*** [48]*** [48]***With this game, Atari proved that the humble 2600 really *could* play a decent game of Pac-Man. As far off the mark as the original Pac-Man cartridge was from its arcade progenitor, that's how close Ms. Pac is to the original. Just about everything is here - the changing mazes, the moving fruit, the *correct* point values... everything, in fact, except the intermission screens. Well worth playing, even today! | labelimagesubject |
Pac-Man | Atari | 1982 | Published by Atari / Sears / CCE / Digitel***It's your job to keep Pac-Man as happy as possible. You must guide him around the maze so that he can eat video wafers and power pills. Protect him from the ghosts unless he has the super strength of a power pill. If he does have the super strength, help him chase the ghosts and gobble them up before they gobble him.*** [48]***Much-hyped at the time of its release - understandable, given that Atari had secured the home rights to the #1 arcade game of all time - the 2600 Pac-Man turned out to be a colossal disappointment. Not only did it bear but a superficial resemblence to the arcade original, but this new version wasn't even that much fun to play! Still, at the time a lot of people were willing to put up with it, and 2600 Pac-Man went on to become a best-seller (and the pack-in cart for the 2600 in '82). The fact that so many of those cartridges are now in thrift stores for fifty cents each is immaterial... | labelimagesubject |

Extra Terrestrials | Skill Screen Games | 1984 | Other than bad timing, this game is unrelated to the other Atari E.T. game or to the movie. Rather, this is a Pac-Man like game where two players battle each other. One human player controls a dot eating alien while the other controls an alien chasing human. It was offered door-to-door to retailers in Southern Ontario. So, top rare game. | labelimageminimize |
Jr. Pac-Man | Atari | 1986 | [52]*** [49]***A good port of the arcade game. Scrolls vertically instead of horizontally, though. Released three years after the development. | labelimageminimize |
